Dermatology Patient Access Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing dermatology practice, the full-time hourly Dermatology Patient Access Specialist will manage patient communication, appointment scheduling, and insurance verification while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, delivering exceptional customer service and managing high volumes of inbound and outbound calls
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments while coordinating new patient visits and follow-ups
• Verify patient information and insurance details to ensure accurate registration and eligibility verification

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of call center experience required
• Minimum of 1 year of healthcare or patient access experience required
• Experience scheduling appointments within an EMR/EHR system required
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements
