Detection Engineer

Job Summary

As a full-time remote Detection Engineer in Protective Services, the successful candidate will build technical capabilities to identify and investigate threats to protected individuals by developing detection systems that correlate various security signals and enhance actionable intelligence.

Key responsibilities

• Translate threat intelligence and observed behavior into production detections that highlight meaningful risks
• Build, test, deploy, and maintain detection pipelines using source-controlled engineering practices
• Investigate detections by querying and correlating data, validating hypotheses, and assessing potential impacts

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in detection engineering, threat hunting, or related fields
• Proficiency in SQL or a security query language and coding in Python, Go, or similar languages
• Experience with production detection pipelines and source control practices
• Familiarity with frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK or D3FEND
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
