Job Summary
Providing technical leadership for software development and automation, the remote Development and Automation Lead will oversee the design, integration, and deployment of secure software solutions while implementing DevSecOps practices and driving automation in support of the Federal Student Aid program.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead software development and automation activities for FSA systems and cybersecurity capabilities
- Implement secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevSecOps practices across projects
- Translate business and technical requirements into actionable development and automation priorities
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of experience in software development, engineering, or related fields
- Senior industry certification such as CISSP or equivalent
- Proven experience leading complex software development and automation initiatives
- Strong knowledge of secure SDLC and DevSecOps principles
