Development Manager
Job Summary
Seeking a mission-driven professional, the full-time Manager, Development will manage the Walk to Defeat ALS events and other revenue-generating opportunities in Kansas, focusing on relationship building with donors and community engagement while working remotely from the Kansas City metropolitan area.
Key responsibilities
- Cultivate and manage relationships to maximize fundraising and awareness through events
- Lead all aspects of the Walk to Defeat ALS and Distinguished events, including strategy development and execution
- Grow corporate partnership initiatives through prospecting, proposal development, and stewardship
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required; commitment to lifelong learning
- 2-5 years of development, sales, or fundraising experience
- Proven experience in special event fundraising, preferably with Walk events
- Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for events
