Job Summary
Supporting fundraising efforts, the full-time salaried Development Manager, Washington State will identify funding opportunities, manage grant proposals and reports, and cultivate relationships with funders while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and cultivate prospective funders, building and managing a funder pipeline
- Manage the lifecycle of foundation and corporate grants, ensuring timely submissions and compliance with funder requirements
- Develop and launch the Washington Fund, SEWA's individual giving strategy, including prospect identification and stewardship plans
Required qualifications
- Five or more years of experience in proposal writing, funder relations, and grant reporting
- Strong grant writing and editing skills with attention to detail
- Advanced project management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines
- Knowledge of the Washington State philanthropic community and early childhood policy issues
- Three or more years of nonprofit fundraising experience, including individual giving
