DevOps Engineer
Job Summary
Focused on maintaining high availability for critical services, the full-time DevOps Engineer will provide operational support for software deployments, develop infrastructure automation tools, and become a subject matter expert while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide operational support for software deployments and production incident response
- Develop infrastructure automation tools to minimize manual effort and proactively resolve potential issues
- Collaborate closely with software teams to become the subject matter expert for specific services
Required qualifications:
- Strong background in Linux systems, including shell scripting and performance tuning
- Excellent understanding of Internet technologies and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SSL, etc.)
- Previous experience operating a large-scale, high-uptime environment
- Coding skills in Python, PHP, or another interpreted language (e.g., Perl or Ruby)
- Experience using a configuration management tool like Ansible
