DevOps Engineer
Job Summary
To support the Department of Public Health, the full-time remote DevOps Engineer will design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain secure database-driven web applications using Oracle APEX and ORDS while collaborating with stakeholders and IT teams to enhance cancer registry solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Design and maintain applications using Oracle APEX and ORDS, ensuring performance and scalability
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, and integrate APEX applications with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs
- Document system architecture and processes while participating in code reviews and following Agile/Scrum practices
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, with a preference for 3 years in full stack development using Oracle APEX
- Strong proficiency in PL/SQL, complex SQL, and Oracle Database architecture
- Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive web design
- Familiarity with ORDS, REST/SOAP APIs, and database performance tuning strategies
