DevSecOps Cloud Engineer
Job Summary
To support the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the full-time DevSecOps Cloud Engineer will build, secure, automate, and operate cloud environments for the Payment Integrity Validation and Oversight Tool (PIVOT), focusing on infrastructure as code, continuous integration and delivery, and cloud security.
Key responsibilities
- Provision and maintain cloud environments using infrastructure-as-code and configuration-management practices
- Build and maintain automated delivery pipelines that integrate security checks and ensure reliable deployments
- Implement technical controls for security authorization and continuous monitoring while supporting incident response and recovery procedures
Required qualifications
- Five or more years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or a related discipline
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
- Experience administering Linux-based environments and troubleshooting cloud services
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Public Trust suitability determination
