Job Summary
Proactively identifying and remediating application security risks, the full-time remote DevSecOps Engineer will work within a DevSecOps environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle, conduct code reviews, and support secure coding practices.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze application designs to identify security risks and recommend secure design patterns
- Perform manual and automated code reviews to identify vulnerabilities and guide remediation efforts
- Integrate and maintain application security tools within CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of experience (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on application security experience within a software development environment
- Experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps workflows
- Proven ability to manage and track vulnerabilities through remediation in collaboration with development teams
- Understanding of secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles
