Job Summary
To support a potential university-wide document accessibility remediation program, the part-time remote Senior Accessibility QA Specialist with an active DHS Trusted Tester certification will validate remediated digital documents, identify accessibility deficiencies, and conduct manual and automated testing to ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, PDF/UA, and Section 508 standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct accessibility quality assurance and validation of remediated digital documents, including PDFs and Microsoft Office files
- Perform manual and automated accessibility testing against relevant standards and requirements
- Identify and document accessibility defects, coordinating with remediation specialists to resolve issues
Required Qualifications
- Current DHS Trusted Tester certification for Section 508 accessibility compliance
- Demonstrated experience conducting manual accessibility testing and validation
- Hands-on experience evaluating accessible PDF documents and other digital content
- Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA, Section 508, and PDF accessibility standards
- Proficiency using assistive technologies and accessibility testing tools
