Director of Accounting Advisory

Job Summary

Leading a team of Division Managers and overseeing client operations, the full-time remote Director of Accounting Advisory will be responsible for coaching managers, ensuring performance accountability, and driving proactive advisory services while managing aggregate performance metrics across divisions.

Key responsibilities

• Directly manage Division Managers and the Project Team, focusing on coaching and development
• Own aggregate performance metrics, including revenue per FTE and utilization, while ensuring client commitments are met
• Drive AI adoption and fluency within the team, leading training and overseeing the implementation of AI tools in client accounting work

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership role within public accounting or client-service firms
• Proven track record managing a production team of 10+ accounting professionals
• Experience in performance management, including setting and enforcing KPIs
• Background in capacity planning and workload balancing across teams
• Strong client leadership experience, ideally with startup or high-growth clients
