Director of Actuarial Services
Job Summary
To support a growing insurance infrastructure, the remote Director of Actuarial Services will validate third-party bordereaux data, establish loss-development assumptions, and independently reserve gross, ceded, and net amounts while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Validate third-party/bordereaux data for analysis and financial reconciliation
- Establish expected loss ratios and development patterns before program onboarding
- Reserve independently for gross, ceded, and net amounts, including evaluating re-assumed tail exposure
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of P&C actuarial experience, including reserving for retained and ceded business
- Direct experience with bordereaux-based or third-party-sourced data
- Experience reserving for re-assumed/tail exposure above treaty caps
- Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS)
- Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) is preferred
