Job Summary
Leading a team of engineers, the full-time salaried Director of AI Applications will oversee the engineering of AI applications and agent systems across enterprise use cases, ensuring high-quality delivery from intake to production while maintaining hands-on involvement in coding and architecture decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead forward deployed engineers in delivering AI applications and agents, maintaining technical standards from intake to production handoff
- Design and build agent systems, tool and API integrations, and retrieval pipelines using enterprise AI platform stacks
- Own architecture decisions for the portfolio, ensuring compliance with enterprise governance and quality standards
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years in software engineering, including 3+ years in AI or machine learning applications, or 6+ years with a Master's degree
- Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript; experience with Rust is a plus
- Hands-on experience in LLM application development, including agent design and prompt engineering
- Depth of knowledge in agent interoperability frameworks like MCP, A2A, or LangChain
- Experience in directing vendor engineering teams or systems integrators
