Director of AI Architecture

Job Summary

As the senior-most technical authority on AI platform design, the full-time remote Director of AI Architecture will set architectural direction, establish governance frameworks, and ensure the integration of AI systems across the organization while collaborating with various teams to enhance AI development quality and consistency.

Key responsibilities

• Shape and evolve the enterprise AI architecture, establishing engineering standards and integration patterns for AI systems
• Develop and operationalize AI governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulations and ethical standards
• Collaborate with senior leaders and technical teams to align AI architecture with organizational priorities and investment decisions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred
• 15+ years of experience in software engineering or technology architecture, with 5+ years in enterprise AI or data platform architecture
• Demonstrated experience in designing and governing AI systems in production, including LLMs and ML pipelines
• Deep expertise in enterprise AI governance, risk management, security, and compliance frameworks
• Experience with cloud-native architectures on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, and familiarity with modern AI infrastructure patterns
