Director of AI Engineering

Job Summary

Leading the technical delivery of AI applications within the Life Sciences Markets squad, the full-time remote Director of AI Engineering will design systems, write production code, and manage the squad's execution while addressing market questions with proprietary datasets.

Key responsibilities

• Personally build and ship core AI services and workflows, resolving technical blockers alongside team members
• Lead engineers in the squad, setting implementation standards and coordinating technical priorities
• Identify valuable life sciences market questions and develop a focused roadmap based on use case prioritization

Required qualifications

• Proven experience in building and shipping production AI applications with measurable business outcomes
• Experience leading technical delivery while actively contributing to design, modeling, coding, and deployment
• Deep practical knowledge of integrating ML models and LLMs into production systems
• Client-facing engineering experience, capable of translating complex analysis for diverse stakeholders
• Hands-on expertise in scalable data pipelines, automated testing, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS
