Director of AI Governance
Job Summary
Leading the AI governance program, the full-time remote Director of AI Governance will manage the AI Governance Council, oversee compliance with AI-related regulations, and ensure effective communication of governance practices across the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Own and evolve the AI governance framework, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and managing associated SOP resources
- Direct the AI Governance Council and AI Champions Network, identifying training needs and facilitating effective AI education across the organization
- Maintain visibility into enterprise AI usage and translate data insights into strategic decisions regarding AI tools and governance processes
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, AI/ML, or a related field preferred
- 2+ years in technology governance, risk/compliance, or AI/data strategy roles, with a focus on AI governance
- 8-10 years in technology innovation, including experience with AI/ML models and leading AI or engineering teams
- Experience in life sciences or GxP-regulated industries preferred
- Demonstrated experience building or operating governance frameworks in regulated environments
