Director of AI Portfolio Operations
Job Summary
Owning the health of the AI portfolio, the full-time remote Director of AI Portfolio Operations will manage program managers, implement governance frameworks, and ensure compliance while driving the operational cadence of the AI organization.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee portfolio health by maintaining an accurate view of program scope, schedule, spend, dependencies, and risks
- Direct the program managers, ensuring consistency in planning, status, escalation, and delivery across programs
- Implement and operate the AI governance model, including stage gates, risk reviews, and compliance with regulations
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
- 10+ years in technology program or portfolio management, including 3+ years directing program or delivery managers
- Proven experience managing a multi-program portfolio at enterprise scale
- Working technical fluency in modern AI technologies and multi-tenant SaaS delivery experience
- Experience in regulated environments such as government, public sector, fintech, or healthcare
