Director of AI Portfolio Operations
Job Summary
Owning the health of the AI portfolio, the full-time remote Director of AI Portfolio Operations will manage program managers, implement governance models, and ensure compliance while driving program delivery and reporting metrics for the organization.
Key responsibilities:
- Maintain a comprehensive view of AI program scope, schedule, spend, dependencies, and risk to support funding and staffing decisions
- Oversee the intake process for new programs, ensuring each has a business case, sponsor, and clear outcomes while managing the prioritization of deliverable projects
- Implement and operate the AI governance model, including stage gates, risk reviews, and compliance with regulatory requirements
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
- 10+ years in technology program or portfolio management, including 3+ years directing program or delivery managers
- Proven experience managing a multi-program portfolio delivered at enterprise scale
- Working technical fluency in modern AI technologies and multi-tenant SaaS delivery experience
- Experience in regulated environments such as government, public sector, or fintech
