Job Summary
Leading the analytics and business intelligence function, the full-time salaried Director of Analytics will manage a team of Business Analysts, oversee Power BI reporting, and transform sales and market data into actionable insights to guide strategic decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and develop the analytics team, ensuring effective use of Power BI dashboards and reporting
- Translate complex sales, pricing, and inventory data into strategic recommendations for various teams
- Enhance data governance and promote the use of data in decision-making across the organization
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in business intelligence or data analytics, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Bachelor's degree in business, analytics, statistics, economics, or equivalent experience
- Advanced expertise in Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, and strong SQL skills
- Familiarity with book industry data, particularly Circana BookScan, and experience in publishing or consumer products
- Ability to convert complex analyses into practical business recommendations
