Director of API Governance
Job Summary
Leading the establishment of the Enterprise API Office, the remote full-time Director of API Governance will create governance frameworks, define API standards, and manage the API lifecycle to ensure consistent and reusable APIs across the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Establish and lead the governance model and performance measures for the Enterprise API Office
- Build and maintain the enterprise API roadmap in collaboration with various stakeholders
- Define and operationalize API standards, lifecycle controls, and launch-readiness criteria
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 10+ years of experience in API management, enterprise architecture, or related fields
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams and enterprise-wide initiatives
- Experience in establishing governance frameworks or cross-functional operating models
- Demonstrated ability to influence leaders in a matrixed organization
