Job Summary

To lead and innovate in audio and video production, the full-time salaried Director of Audio and Video will manage the creation of flagship video podcasts, narrative projects, and subscriber-only content while driving viewer and listener growth in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Set strategy and oversee the production cycle from concept to final approval, ensuring timely delivery of content
• Manage and coach producers and journalists, collaborating with editorial, audience, and marketing teams to enhance content quality
• Utilize analytics and audience insights to inform content creation and drive engagement while maintaining editorial integrity

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in producing or leading audio and video content, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
• Proven track record of scaling YouTube channels or video podcasts
• Strong understanding of YouTube algorithms, analytics, and content packaging, along with familiarity with podcasts and social media platforms
• Experience in coaching on-air talent and crafting compelling video narratives
• Proficiency in media editing software, including Riverside, Descript, and Adobe CC suite
