Job Summary
Seeking a hands-on Director of BI & Data Engineering, the full-time remote position will manage the Salud Enterprise Datawarehouse on Databricks, lead a small team in agile delivery, and oversee the development of data models, ETL processes, and BI solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build permanent tables and ETL pipelines for the Databricks EDW while ensuring data quality and governance
- Act as product owner for the BI solution, managing the vision, roadmap, and stakeholder requirements
- Lead and mentor a team of data engineers and BI developers, maintaining agile processes and contributing as a hands-on developer
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years in data warehousing, data engineering, and business intelligence, with 3+ years in a leadership role
- Strong experience in building enterprise data warehouse permanent tables and developing ETL/ELT processes
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, including Delta and Unity Catalog
- Proven background with enterprise BI platforms such as Looker, Omni, or MicroStrategy
- Healthcare industry experience, particularly with payer, claims, and clinical data, is required
