Director of Billing and Collections

Job Summary

To enhance revenue cycle efficiency, the full-time remote Director of Billing and Collections will manage billing operations for Providence's retained billing offices, ensuring compliance and optimizing financial performance while collaborating with various departments to improve workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee billing and follow-up activities for insurance and self-pay accounts receivable
• Drive operational excellence by achieving Professional Billing A/R goals and enhancing collections strategies
• Collaborate with clinics and operational leaders to standardize billing processes and improve revenue cycle workflows

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or Public Administration, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of experience in accounts receivable management
• 8 years of leadership experience in a healthcare setting
• 5 years of experience in medical revenue cycle management
• 3 years of significant executive-level relationship management experience
