Director of Cloud Infrastructure
Job Summary
Leading the modernization and scaling of cloud infrastructure, the remote Head of Cloud Infrastructure (Director Level) will manage a global team, set strategic initiatives, and enhance developer experience within an AWS environment utilizing Kubernetes and Terraform.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and execute a prioritized cloud-infrastructure modernization roadmap integrating existing initiatives
- Lead a global team in cloud platform, Site Reliability Engineering, and DevOps while providing hands-on technical guidance
- Establish formal reliability practices and improve developer velocity through self-service workflows and reusable infrastructure capabilities
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in infrastructure, SRE, platform engineering, or developer productivity, with expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform
- Experience leading a team of 3-10 engineers in infrastructure, platform, SRE, or DevOps roles
- Proven track record of transforming platform functions and operating mature production infrastructure
- Experience with formal reliability practices, including SLOs, incident management, and disaster recovery
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
