Director of Coding

Job Summary

Providing strategic and operational leadership for professional coding, the full-time remote Director of Coding will ensure compliance, accuracy, and timeliness in coding operations while developing and implementing effective coding strategies across the health system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead professional coding operations across the health system
• Ensure accurate, compliant, and timely coding of professional services
• Develop and implement coding strategies, standards, and best practices

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree from an AHIMA accredited HIM program or related field, or equivalent education and experience
• 10+ years of extensive background in ICD-10-CM coding and official coding guidelines
• 7 years of management/supervisory experience overseeing coding operations and teams
• Demonstrated experience in standardizing complex processes across multiple facilities
• Proven history of identifying and resolving issues impacting business outcomes
