Job Summary
Leading a team of Consumer Underwriters, the full-time remote Director of Consumer Underwriting will oversee strategic operations, ensure compliance with underwriting policies, and drive business results while maintaining high customer service standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide strategic oversight and ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures for consumer offerings
- Mentor and develop Consumer Underwriting staff while establishing annual objectives and monitoring performance
- Identify and develop dealer opportunities to grow Ally's portfolio within the assigned territory
Required qualifications:
- 9+ years of experience in underwriting and/or auto finance
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Bachelor's degree in business preferred
- Ability to leverage technical expertise to influence strategy and drive results
- Strong project management skills
