Director of Contracts and Compliance
Job Summary
Owning the full contract lifecycle for client agreements, the remote Director of Contracts and Compliance will manage contract drafting, negotiation, and compliance operations while leading a small team to ensure data privacy and security commitments are upheld.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end contract management for client agreements, including drafting, negotiation, execution, and renewal tracking
- Run compliance operations across client, vendor, and subcontractor contracts, ensuring alignment with data privacy and regulatory requirements
- Supervise and coach a team of Specialists, setting expectations and standards for contract workload and quality checks
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; JD, MBA, or relevant advanced degree preferred
- 7+ years in contract management, compliance operations, or a related legal/operations role
- 2+ years of experience managing a team, preferably with senior-level individual contributors
- Strong understanding of data privacy requirements, security terms, and dispute resolution
- Experience using AI tools or legal-tech workflows for efficiency
