Director of CPU Design Engineering

Job Summary

Leading a high-performing team, the full-time salaried Director of CPU Design Engineering will manage RTL design for next-generation AMD CPUs, driving project goals and collaborating with various engineering teams, with the opportunity to work onsite in Santa Clara, California, or potentially remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Leading and coordinating a team of RTL design engineers across multiple design blocks
• Driving project design goals and dependencies with architects, DV, and physical design teams
• Providing technical leadership to resolve complex design problems in a dynamic environment

Required qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with relevant experience
• Proven experience leading and developing high-performing silicon design engineering teams
• Demonstrated success in leading complex silicon designs through tapeout, preferably in a CPU or advanced processor design environment
• Strong technical expertise in computer architecture and processor design
• Extensive experience with RTL and logic design, design methodology, and the silicon development lifecycle
