Director of Cybersecurity

Job Summary

To enhance security operations and integrate security into product delivery, the full-time Director of Cybersecurity will lead initiatives in security operations, governance, risk compliance, and DevSecOps, while managing a lean team and driving automation in a hybrid or onsite environment within 50 miles of Scottsdale, AZ.

Key responsibilities

• Set and execute the enterprise security strategy, focusing on automation and secure-by-design practices
• Lead the transition to an AI-assisted security operations center and manage incident response and forensics
• Oversee compliance programs and vendor risk management, ensuring adherence to regulations and security standards

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years in cybersecurity with at least 5 years in leadership roles
• Proven experience in transforming security organizations to embedded, DevSecOps-style delivery
• Strong background in SOC operations, incident response, and security automation
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS, NIST CSF, and telecom regulations
