Director of Cybersecurity

Job Summary

To enhance security practices, the full-time salaried Director of Cybersecurity will lead security operations, governance, risk, compliance, and DevSecOps initiatives, while implementing automation and AI-driven solutions in a hybrid or onsite environment near Scottsdale, AZ.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the enterprise security strategy, focusing on automation and secure-by-design practices
• Lead the transition to an AI-assisted Security Operations Center (SOC) and manage incident response and forensics
• Oversee compliance programs and risk management, ensuring adherence to regulations like PCI DSS and telecom obligations

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years in cybersecurity with at least 5 years in leadership roles managing security teams
• Experience in transitioning security organizations to DevSecOps models
• Strong background in SOC operations, incident response, and managing MDR/MSSP providers
• Knowledge of cloud security, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code practices
