Director of Cybersecurity

Job Summary

To enhance security integration within operations, the full-time salaried Director of Cybersecurity will lead security strategy, operations, and compliance efforts while working in a hybrid or onsite capacity near Scottsdale, AZ.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the enterprise security strategy, focusing on automation and managed services to improve efficiency
• Oversee security operations, including incident response, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management, ensuring a proactive security posture
• Manage governance, risk, and compliance programs, ensuring adherence to regulations such as PCI DSS and telecom obligations

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing security teams
• Proven track record of transitioning security practices to a DevSecOps model
• Strong background in security operations, including managing MDR/MSSP providers and incident response
• Experience with compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS, NIST CSF, and telecom regulations
