Director of Cybersecurity

Job Summary

To enhance security operations and compliance, the full-time salaried Director of Cybersecurity will lead the enterprise security strategy, manage security operations, and oversee governance, risk, and compliance initiatives in a hybrid or onsite capacity near Scottsdale, AZ.

Key responsibilities

• Set and implement the enterprise security strategy, focusing on automation and efficient workflows
• Lead incident response and forensics, ensuring a robust security operations center with AI-assisted capabilities
• Manage compliance programs and vendor risk management, ensuring adherence to regulations and security standards

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years in cybersecurity with at least 5 years in leadership roles
• Experience transitioning security from gatekeeping to embedded DevSecOps practices
• Strong background in security operations, incident response, and managing security service providers
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS and NIST CSF, with telecom regulation experience preferred
