Director of Cybersecurity

Job Summary

To transform security practices, the full-time Director of Cybersecurity will lead security operations, governance, risk, and compliance, and DevSecOps initiatives, while implementing automation and AI-driven strategies in a hybrid or onsite environment near Scottsdale, AZ.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the enterprise security strategy, focusing on automation and secure-by-design practices
• Oversee the transition to an AI-assisted Security Operations Center (SOC) and manage incident response and forensics
• Lead identity and access governance initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulations and modernizing credential management

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in leadership roles
• Proven track record in transitioning security organizations to embedded, DevSecOps-style delivery
• Strong background in SOC operations and incident response, including managing MDR/MSSP providers
• Experience with governance, risk, and compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS and NIST CSF
