Director of Cybersecurity

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Director of Cybersecurity, this role will manage security operations, governance, risk, compliance, and DevSecOps, while transitioning to an automation-first, AI-assisted security model, with a hybrid or onsite work option available for candidates residing within 50 miles of Scottsdale, AZ.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the enterprise security strategy, focusing on secure-by-design practices and automation
• Lead security operations, including incident response, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management
• Oversee governance, risk, and compliance programs, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, including 5+ years in leadership roles
• Proven track record in transitioning security organizations to embedded, DevSecOps-style delivery
• Strong background in security operations, incident response, and managing MDR/MSSP providers
• Deep knowledge of identity and privileged access management, as well as GRC experience with PCI DSS and telecom regulations
