Director of Cybersecurity

Job Summary

To lead the transformation of security operations, the full-time Director of Cybersecurity will manage enterprise security strategy, oversee security operations, and drive governance, risk, and compliance initiatives in a hybrid or onsite capacity near Scottsdale, AZ.

Key responsibilities

• Set and implement the enterprise security strategy, focusing on automation and secure-by-design practices
• Lead the transition to an AI-assisted security operations center (SOC) and manage incident response and forensics
• Oversee compliance programs and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements while managing vendor risk and security awareness training

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years in cybersecurity with at least 5 years in leadership roles managing security teams
• Proven experience in transitioning security organizations to embedded, DevSecOps-style delivery
• Strong background in SOC operations, incident response, and managing security automation or AI-driven operations
• Deep knowledge of identity and privileged access management, as well as GRC experience with PCI DSS and telecom regulations
