Director of Cybersecurity

Job Summary

To enhance security operations and compliance, the full-time salaried Director of Cybersecurity will lead the development and implementation of enterprise security strategies, manage security operations, and oversee governance, risk, and compliance initiatives, with the option for hybrid or onsite work within 50 miles of Scottsdale, AZ.

Key responsibilities

• Set and execute the enterprise security strategy, focusing on automation and managed services to improve operational efficiency
• Lead the transition to an AI-assisted Security Operations Center (SOC) and manage incident response and forensics activities
• Oversee governance, risk, and compliance programs, ensuring adherence to regulations such as PCI DSS and telecom obligations

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, including 5+ years in leadership roles
• Proven track record in transitioning security organizations to DevSecOps models
• Strong background in SOC operations and incident response management
• Deep knowledge of identity and privileged access management, as well as governance frameworks like PCI DSS and NIST CSF
