Director of Data Center Equipment

Job Summary

Leading a team of category managers, the full-time Director of Data Center Equipment will develop multi-year strategies for critical datacenter infrastructure equipment while managing sourcing events and negotiations in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own and execute the multi-year category strategy for datacenter infrastructure equipment, including transformers, generators, and cooling systems
• Lead end-to-end sourcing events and serve as the primary negotiator for high-value equipment agreements
• Build strategic partnerships with suppliers and manage supplier performance to ensure quality and on-time delivery

Required qualifications

• 10+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management, with at least 5 years in datacenter or heavy industrial equipment
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of people leadership experience managing category managers or sourcing professionals
• Proven track record of owning multi-year category strategies for high-spend, supply-constrained equipment
• Experience negotiating large master supply agreements and managing long-lead equipment against construction schedules
