Director of Data Governance

Job Summary

Driving the strategic execution of the enterprise data governance program, the full-time Director of Data Governance will manage operations, shape governance policy, and serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the enterprise data governance program, including policy development and change control
• Lead discussions with the Data Governance Council to support project prioritization and resolve cross-domain issues
• Track and report on data quality issues and drive change management initiatives to foster adoption of data governance practices

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, data management, or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in data governance or a closely related discipline, including 2 years in a leadership role
• Experience in financial services or a similarly regulated industry is strongly preferred
• Familiarity with data governance tools such as Microsoft Purview, Collibra, or Informatica
• Experience presenting to governance boards or senior executives
