Director of Data Practice

Job Summary

To manage the daily operations of the Data Office, the full-time salaried Director of Data Practice will oversee capability leads, prioritize data projects, and ensure delivery standards while collaborating with the Chief Data Officer on strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage scoping, staffing, and sequencing of data work across the enterprise and client-facing portfolio
• Run the Data Office intake system, triaging requests and publishing the data portfolio roadmap
• Supervise capability leads, ensuring alignment of methodology and delivery standards

Required qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in data, research, or analytics delivery
• Proven track record of leading complex, multi-workstream data projects to completion
• Expertise in data governance, including definitions, quality, and standards implementation
• Experience managing senior technical staff and coordinating with executives outside of direct reporting lines
• Hands-on experience with SQL, data pipelines, cloud warehouses, and statistical environments (e.g., R, Python)
