Director of Data Product Engineering

Job Summary

Leading the development of innovative data products, the full-time remote Director of Data Product Engineering will manage the design, delivery, and operation of AI-enabled analytical solutions while establishing standards for data product quality and productivity across multiple domains.

Key responsibilities

• Own the delivery of cross-functional data products and analytics experiences essential for data-driven decision-making
• Standardize and scale data product development by defining publishing standards and creating templates for efficient production
• Build an AI-native engineering competency by implementing agentic data engineering practices and training the engineering team

Required qualifications

• 10+ years in data engineering with 5+ years in a leadership role at the Director level
• Hands-on experience with Python and SQL, including debugging and architecture decisions
• Proven track record of delivering data products to production with measurable adoption in regulated environments
• Experience with modern data stacks, including Snowflake, AWS, and CI/CD for data pipelines
• Familiarity with data mesh concepts and headless, domain-owned data products designed for both human and AI consumers
