Director of Data Science
Job Summary
Seeking a hands-on Director of Data Science to build the analytical foundation of a new, PE-backed business unit focused on pet health and services, this full-time remote position will manage complex datasets, develop predictive models, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify monetizable insights.
Key responsibilities:
- Define and implement the data science strategy for the pet health data business unit
- Analyze large, complex datasets to uncover trends and commercial opportunities
- Build predictive and segmentation models to support data-driven decision-making
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field
- 6-10+ years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, or statistical modeling
- Strong proficiency in Python and/or R, along with SQL skills for handling large datasets
- Experience in building predictive models and working with fragmented data sources
