Director of Development

Job Summary

To support the mission of hope and recovery, the full-time salaried Director of Development will manage philanthropic revenue efforts, focusing on major gifts, planned gifts, and special events, while collaborating with leadership and community volunteers in Champaign, Illinois.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects, cultivating and soliciting donations to meet fundraising goals
• Plan and execute annual fundraising events, including a springtime benefit with approximately 700 guests
• Develop strategies to engage Board members and volunteers in fundraising efforts while maintaining collaborative partnerships across the organization

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field related to behavioral health services
• Extensive experience in fund development with a focus on major gifts
• Proven track record of successfully cultivating and soliciting high-level donors
• Experience in developing and executing special events
• Strong ability to communicate effectively and inspire investment in the organization's mission
