Director of Development Programs

Job Summary

Leading a team of program managers, the full-time Director of Development Programs will oversee the execution of secure, multi-domain connectivity solutions for government and military missions, while managing high-visibility programs and ensuring adherence to operational standards, all in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of program/project managers, setting performance expectations and career paths
• Personally manage strategic development programs, ensuring accountability for cost, schedule, technical performance, and risk
• Establish and mature the program management operating model, including execution standards and governance processes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
• 12+ years of program or project management experience with responsibility for cost, schedule, and risk
• 4+ years of people leadership experience managing program or project managers
• Experience leading complex development programs such as software, satellite networking, or systems-of-systems efforts
• Proven ability to lead and influence within a highly matrixed organization
