Director of Donor Stewardship

Job Summary

To enhance donor engagement and retention, the remote Director of Donor Stewardship will manage the development and execution of comprehensive stewardship programs, collaborating with various teams to implement innovative strategies that inspire donor philanthropy and support organizational fundraising goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and evaluation of donor stewardship programs across all departments to optimize engagement strategies
• Collaborate with Development team leaders to create initiatives that enhance donor cultivation, recognition, and acknowledgment
• Introduce innovative methods to build a pipeline for major gifts and ensure timely acknowledgment of donations

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in donor stewardship strategies, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role
• Proven track record of executing innovative donor engagement strategies and relationship management
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse audiences
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with donor management software, preferably Raiser's Edge
