Director of Energy Development

Job Summary

To drive innovation in energy solutions, the full-time salaried Director of Energy Development will build and manage an integrated energy strategy and delivery platform, overseeing utility power procurement, generation, and storage across multiple projects in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build the integrated energy strategy and delivery platform, standardizing energy execution across sites and regions
• Establish and lead the program management office (PMO) for energy development, ensuring governance and milestone tracking
• Integrate sister portfolio companies into the energy platform, extending frameworks and processes for collaborative energy initiatives

Required qualifications

• Deep experience in energy development, utility power procurement, or behind-the-meter generation, preferably for large-load customers
• Proven track record in building and leading operating platforms or PMOs in energy or capital-intensive infrastructure
• Demonstrated ability to create scalable tools, templates, and processes adopted by organizations
• Experience implementing enterprise project management systems and establishing governance structures
• Ability to operate at both strategic and executional levels, with leadership experience in a build environment
