Director of Engineering

Job Summary

Leading a growing team of engineers, the full-time remote Director of Engineering will manage the engineering strategy, processes, and personnel while ensuring effective collaboration with Product leadership to enhance delivery and organizational health.

Key responsibilities

• Shape and oversee the engineering strategy, including team structure, tech stack, and architecture direction
• Establish and maintain development and release processes that support team independence and efficiency
• Coach and develop squad leads to ensure consistent management practices and organizational throughput

Required qualifications

• Proven experience leading engineering organizations of 15-40 people during growth phases with multiple squads
• Demonstrated ability to manage through a leadership layer and develop leads effectively
• Strong understanding of delivery metrics and workflow data, with experience in diagnosing and resolving bottlenecks
• Strategic mindset capable of contributing to multi-year product and organizational planning
• Collaborative operating style with experience partnering with Product leadership
