Job Summary
Leading the vision and execution for foundational systems, the full-time remote Director of Engineering will manage engineering managers and staff engineers while driving the evolution of core architecture, fostering an AI-native culture, and enhancing application security.
Key responsibilities
- Direct the multi-year technical strategy to decouple legacy systems into a modular architecture
- Champion the adoption of AI-assisted coding tools and workflows to improve developer productivity
- Oversee application security practices and ensure resilience against modern threats
Required qualifications
- 15+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years in engineering leadership roles
- Proven experience architecting systems that support AI features and driving AI-assisted development tools
- Track record of guiding monolith-to-modular migrations in high-traffic environments
- Deep understanding of Application Security principles and Identity/Access Management
- Strong technical fluency in Python and FastAPI ecosystems
