Job Summary
Leading the Cloud Detection Platform, the full-time remote Director of Engineering will manage multiple teams responsible for cloud detection engines and supporting infrastructure, ensuring reliable execution and cost-effectiveness for customers.
Key responsibilities
- Own the multi-year strategy, architecture, and roadmap for the Cloud Detection Platform
- Lead and develop an organization of managers and senior engineers, overseeing the full talent lifecycle
- Ensure the reliability, latency, and cost management of detection rule execution at fleet scale
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years managing engineering teams and 2+ years managing managers
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems in production, particularly data-intensive platforms
- Proven track record of accountability for strategic outcomes over one- to two-year horizons
- Strong architectural judgment and experience in design reviews and technical direction
- Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity and manage cross-team dependencies
