Director of Engineering

Job Summary

Leading the engineering organization for Assets & Issuance, the full-time Director of Engineering will shape architecture, grow the team, and set technical direction while ensuring the delivery of reliable and secure systems in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical strategy, roadmap, and delivery for Assets & Issuance, balancing speed and reliability
• Build and grow the engineering team by hiring senior engineers and developing emerging leaders
• Partner with Product, Security, and Compliance to design secure and auditable systems from the ground up

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience, including 8+ years in leadership roles managing engineering teams
• Experience building and scaling systems in fast-growing companies, particularly in money-moving infrastructure
• Strong technical credibility in distributed systems, blockchain infrastructure, and security-sensitive financial software
• Proven ability to operate in ambiguous environments and make progress with incomplete information
• Experience collaborating effectively with Product, Security, and Compliance teams
