Job Summary
Leading a growing team of engineers, the full-time remote Director of Engineering will manage engineering strategy, oversee team processes, and develop leadership within the organization to enhance delivery and organizational health.
Key responsibilities
- Shape engineering strategy and structure, collaborating with Product leadership on future initiatives
- Establish and maintain development and release processes while ensuring squad independence
- Coach and develop squad leads, managing organizational throughput and addressing bottlenecks
Required qualifications
- Experience leading engineering organizations of 15-40 people through growth phases
- Proven ability to manage through a leadership layer and develop team leads
- Strong background in building scalable processes without compromising squad independence
- Fluency in delivery metrics and workflow data, with the ability to diagnose and address bottlenecks
- Collaborative approach with a strategic mindset for multi-year planning
